MUSTER:  7:00am  Mandatory for all volunteers working that day, includes those staying in camp and those joining us for the day. If you are volunteering for a day at a time then returning home, you MUST be at our basecamp no later than 7am each morning and we MUST know that you are coming. On your first day there will be paperwork to fill in, so please arrive no later than 6.45am.

 BEFORE ARRIVING:

Campers:- Please contact the basecamp if you are intending to stay in camp. There are a limited number of powered and unpowered sites, 10 amp and 15 amp. Where possible, please plan to arrive no later than 5pm, so that you can set up and join us for dinner.

Day Volunteers:- Please call 0458 375968 at least the day prior to your intended arrival so we can include you in a team. If you are organising a team of volunteers, it would be easier if you nominate one person to contact the camp, and represent the group.

ACCOMMODATION:
There are a limited number of powered and unpowered sites (please ring ahead to book these). Water is available to all caravan/motorhome/camp trailer etc sites, whilst you will not be able to hook up permanently to water, you should be able to fill your tank without having to move. There is a dump point.

We can accommodate roof top and ground tents, mostly unpowered, in the field, but there is no separate undercover area for swags etc. You must bring your own all weather shelter. You will need to bring your own bed linen.

AMENITIES: There are showers and toilets at basecamp.

MEALS (for those in camp):  All meals are provided, but please bring your own snacks. Breakfast and a nourishing two-course evening meal are provided by BlazeAid at our basecamp. We also provide food for our volunteers to make their own lunch, please supply your own lunch container.

Please note, if you have special dietary needs you will need to bring your own food if you are not able to eat the meals provided.

Please remember that we are working in disaster areas, mobile phone coverage varies, however there is reasonable coverage at base camp and wifi will be available.
